Absolics, an advanced semiconductor packaging manufacturer, required a comprehensive wastewater treatment solution to support a new $600 million greenfield facility in Covington, Georgia. The facility generates multiple complex wastewater streams including acidic, alkaline, organic, and general process wastewaters along with high-strength concentrate from deionized water production. With no existing treatment infrastructure and stringent discharge permit requirements, the project demanded a highly reliable, compliant, and scalable treatment system capable of operating under full production conditions.
Tomorrow Water Actions and Scope
Tomorrow Water engineered and delivered an integrated wastewater management solution covering the full lifecycle of treatment, from collection and segregation to final discharge. The scope included process wastewater collection and transfer systems, equalization, pH neutralization, coagulation and flocculation, clarification for heavy metals and TSS removal, and sludge thickening and dewatering. Advanced controls and chemical dosing systems were incorporated to ensure stable operation and consistent effluent quality. The system was strategically configured to optimize operational efficiency, minimize risk, and accommodate future capacity demands.
