PROTEUS®
Primary/Wet Weather Package
Compact Design.
High‑Rate Filtration. Wet‑Weather Ready.
PROTEUS® Primary Package is designed for up to 2.2 MGD under primary operating conditions and can accommodate flows beyond 2.2 MGD during peak wet‑weather events, while maintaining over 75% TSS removal, all within an exceptionally compact footprint comparable to a 40‑ft container.
Designed to replace or enhance conventional clarifiers, Proteus effortlessly manages peak wet‑weather flows intensified by climate change.
Introducing the Proteus Primary Package
Scalable beyond 2.2 MGD for wet-weather peak flows
Key Advantages
Smaller Footprint
High TSS Removal
Modular System
Rapid Installation
No Chemicals Required
No Moving Parts, Less Maintenance
Operational Process
Filtration Mode
Raw wastewater enters the Proteus reactor through the feed header, spreads across the EPP media bed, and flows upward through each cell, where solids are retained and the filtered effluent exits through the effluent channel.
Backwash Mode
Backwash starts automatically when media headloss or pressure reaches its set limit. Influent valves close, the backwash valve opens, and accumulated effluent and solids are released through the waste line. A drain–idle–drain sequence then restores media permeability and full hydraulic capacity.
